    Hi,

I am trying to connect my spindle to my x32 via tool enable with an external 3vdc relay module. When the tool is enabled, the relay doesn't trigger due to low amps measured at 0.27 mA. Is there a setting in the software to increase this? I need min 3 mA and I read on another forum that is suppose to have 20 mA.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Are you sure its a compatible relay module?

Might already be damaged from your readings, but how to measure that correctly is hard, so i am taking those readings with a grain of salt. Current measurement of GPIO needs special procedures (don't short output with multimeter in current mode - will damage microcontroller), and measuring between output and relay input with ammeter in series will not show max available current, will merely show what module draws. If it's the wrong kind of module (ebay specials often are active low, entirely the wrong input) will not draw any current showing symptoms as described.

Just measure voltage to make sure output still works. Use the Tool On menus in CONTROL to test to rule out incorrect commands.

Tool Enable should be used with a relay that accepts a logic signal as shown in the BlackBox documentation docs:blackbox-x32:connect-dewalt-iotrelay [OpenBuilds Documentation]
