Hi! I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with shipping (or even communications) with the "Parts Store"? Basically, I have had intermittent success with the Part Store regarding my recent order. I've received and PAID the invoice for a recent order (May 14th, 2025), and have yet to see anything on shipping or tracking numbers. AND still no parts. I know they are "Going out of Business" and have heard from the Part Store saying as much and warning me about some back log. However, since then a few days later they informed me that they'll be shipping (and even updating my order). Buuuutttt, that was a few days ago, and still nothing, no parts, no email, no updates. I live in Florida, and would gladly pick this stuff up on-site in Zephyrhills... Ideas, anyon?
I ordered about the same time as you and I got an email update yesterday advising it will be about a week until it ships. My guess is that their order volume is way higher than normal. Many items i was interested in were already sold out by the time i placed my order. Have you checked your SPAM folder?
Click on Account in the upper right-hand corner of the Parts Store header. If you're signed in this will take you to a listing of orders and their status. Yeah, I still have a couple of orders outstanding too. Give them time as they're processing a lot of orders. There was an email that went out to that effect yesterday. They're cranking them out as fast as they can.
Looks like most parts are 'out of stock'.... so where is everyone else going to get v-slot rails, belt & Pinion Actuator kits.. (brackets, screws...etc) now-a-days? Cant seem to order anything from them now (myself) thanks!
I dont use the parts for CNC, 3D printers.. so wasnt really sure. (use the kits/parts for this: Where to get stuff now?) Thanks.. I'll check out those links now.
I was in the process of upgrading one CNC when they announced the closing. I made two orders right after the announcement. I have received the second order. The first order... $1500 worth - I have not received any communication about. I even sent them a message Monday at 7AM and have received nothing. Now I'm starting to think I'm going to get stiffed for $1500.
Orders are still shipping, so not stiffed, just backlogged maybe, or some items not available for shipment just yet - I would recommend just sitting tight. Customer support will get back to you as well, things are super busy with the clearance sale...
I'm in the same boat as K@OHS and feeling similar. Placed 3 orders, and received the two smaller orders. The $1550 order on May 15th is still awaiting "Awaiting fulfillment". After two weeks, I messaged support and got a response saying that they were hoping to ship that week. I waited a week and then messaged support this Monday asking for an update and didn't get a response. Its frustrating, tomorrow will be 4 weeks since I placed my order. All that said, Openbuilds have always been super customer focused, and are responding on boards and stuff. They also sent out a blast email saying they are swamped. Based on my three orders they had over a 1000 orders in two weeks between May 15th and May 30th, and they are trying to wind down a business at the same time. So I'm trying hard to be patient and give them some grace. They are good people who care about the community. If worse comes to worse, my bank said I had 60 days to dispute the charge if I do not receive my order. I really really really hope it doesn't come down to that, but we aren't going to be screwed out of our money. -James
It won't come to that. OpenBuilds is not going under and disappearing with people's money. I too have a couple of orders outstanding that seem to be taking an inordinate amount of time, but I have faith they'll come. And they may be missing an item or two that was inadvertently oversold, for any of the orders where there was such an issue I was fully credited back on my credit card.
Hey guys. The OpenBuilds Team is hustling to get your orders out the door ASAP! We hit a snag with a delayed parts shipment, but that’s all sorted now, and we’re back in action. Thanks for hanging in there—we’re super grateful for your patience and your support!
