Man the shots your getting with this are great! The feet you mated to the rail are really cool I could picture them being able to wrap around anything like a tree for instance to get some amazing shots out in the woods.
Very cool build thanks for sharing.

This is terrific. Just what I was looking for. I will search amazon for a slower motor per your suggestion. I am new to open builds and will hope to see your videos, which unfortunately were reported as "this video does not exist" I would love to see them. If you could share them, I am at [email protected] Thanks for sharing and thanks open builds.
PS: I am up in the Sonoran Desert near the Superstition Mountains in Mesa AZ. I fondly recall at trip I made to Big Bend many years ago. Thanks for the memories.

Hi Tom, Yes i switched Gmail accounts a couple months ago... at the time seemed like a good idea. Oh well. I'll post them up again. It does work well. I ended up getting a couple of nuts that fit in the track that are 1/4" 20 thread so the tripods attach more securely directly to the rail which works well.

Where did you find the 1/4-20 nuts that fit the track?

Actually they didn't, I found some on Amazon that were close and ground them down enough to fit.
