Hi After watching Mark's Nema 23 Lead/Acme Actuator Example Build I was wondering if the Gcode you use on the OX build can be used to control this build as well or do you use a different setup. As the 'X' would become a static post holding the 'Z' in one place while the table moves in two directions below it, ie: 'X' & 'Y' Its just a thought before I have a go at it. Michael.
I might not understand completely what you are asking, but controlling an actuator, single axis, is the same as controlling a XYZ system. We might need a bit more information on this question? -Ronald
I thought so, Justin The more I look at the photos and the build video I can see that there isn't much difference in the way the plates move backwards and forwards as the ones in the OX do. Its just moving in a different way. Thanks for your replies lads. Michael.
I can give you some additional info as well that I found were the best, they might be useful to you: Feed (up to): 2000 mm/min Voltage: 24 vDC Amperes: 1.2 A (on most drivers) Step: 1/8, thus 200 steps for 1 mm of movement With these settings you have no problem to use even the 1000 mm version of the Nema 23 Lead/Acme Actuator. -Ronald
