    Hello everyone. Just signed up. I am trying to build a aquarium stand out of vslot linear rail, but the problem is I don't know what size rail do I go for the 20mm or the 40mm my aquarium is a stander 10 gallon when full it weights around 120 pounds.

    It's really not as simple as what size rail to use. Connections are every bit as important as rail size if not more so. Will there be any cross bracing? How tall do you plan to make it? How big is the base? There are just too many unknowns here to offer any reasonable assistance. And while I'm sure you have a pretty good visualization of where this is going in your head, that's someplace we can't go. It would truly be helpful if you could knockout a simple sketch or even a Sketchup model to let us know what you have in mind.

    I plan on the stand being about 25 inches tall. The base only has to be 13 by 13 inches. I plan on using a L Bracket or
    Inside Hidden Corner Bracket. I really can't do a model. I am currently stuck using my smartphone because my laptop is currently getting fixed

    So you recommend to go with the 40mm rail

    I would probably go with what's in the picture.

    Well the photo shows the 40mm rail. So it basically telling me to go with 40mm
