I have built an OX CNC with a tinyg controller. I wanted to make an engraved plate so I downloaded f-engrave. I got the look I wanted and saved the SVG file. I then tried to put it through JSCUT but for some reason JSCUT won't let me select any of the letters to create the operation and turn it into g-code. So I have a couple of questions. Is thee something other than JSCUT that will work fine with my tinyg and chilipeppr? Can I just use the gcode from f-engrave? Thanks.
Fusion 360 is free that does tons of stuff You can use any cam to make gcode, they are not machine specific, you just install a post processor for that board if you can find one, if not just use generic gcode or Mach 3 post processor works with most things.
F-engrave should generate gcode by itself, and not require sending through JSCUT or another CAM tool. Here is a good link that has a few tweaks to make f-engrave work nicely with GRBL. F-Engrave - ShapeOko I've also been playing with Estlcam's new release. Estlcam.de 2D / 3D CAM Software und CNC Steuerung... It is pretty slick for the price! -- John
