    Hey there guys,
So I'm getting a 3D printer, a Prusa I3 to be specific. already preparing some upgrades (Bowden and E3D V6) and learning how to tune it as I wait for it. it already has a heat bed so I can get to doing ABS without issue (hopefully, ABS is notoriously hard to deal with I hear).
from this site's experts and people who tried it, are there any parts that I can actually print in ABS and would work? given that most of these parts are relatively small in size, it wouldn't cost much in material or time to make them on a printer.
I'm talking about the cubes, corners and other plastic fittings. would ABS with 100% infill work? is PLA viable?
what about precision parts? like the solid wheel? can that be printed? I've seen vids of people printing gears and successfully using them (not for CNC applications though).

just a note, I intend on trying anyway once I'm done tuning my 3D printer, it would be nice if you guys could fill me in on your attempts though.
    Thanks.

    Interesting, I'll probably try that.
Did you try printing a solid wheel?

I'm asking because I don't live in the US, do if it's possible to print it from abs, then I'd just get the bearings and screws and print the solid wheel.
    Another thing to try.

    Thanks man.
Just found the wheels for decent price on aliexpress. I'll just get some in bulk.
I'm mainly trying to figure the things I can print with a 3d printer and get them working on a cnc without noticeable issues. If I can make wheels using a printer, that would mean I can make custom shape wheels for other types of profiles as I have yet to find V slot channels in the UAE.
are the delrin and poly carbonate (aka extreme) that different strength wise?

    Thanks,
Just got my 3D printer. Barring some minor leveling issues, everything else is working well.
Did a PLA test print for a cube tube combo and it turned out really well.
Will start trying parts in ABS, PC, and nylon when I get the filaments.
