    Hi Adrien, I actually cut it at 12", hoping I could get at least a 4" depth cut. Right now I think it will only be about 2" being that the gantry plates are short. When I bought the gantry plates they came that size, but I planned on cutting my own out of aluminum at a longer length.

    What is the maximum height that you can get in on the Z axis ?

    Hi Adrien, The max height is 3 1/8", with a waste board it would be 2 5/8". Is that roughly what you got on yours?

    I have not CNC yet . I'm at the stage of study.
    I asking you these questions because I would like to machining a workpiece of 100 mm (3.937 in) high.

    I'll have to raise the CNC.

    Hi Adrien, Yes it took me awhile before I started to buy parts. As far as th height of the Z axis I did not think of that until I put everything together. But I figured that I would cut larger ones out of aluminum later.With the size of my machine, I will try to cut 3/8 material. Thanks for the reply and have fun on your project.
