Hi all, Has anybody ordered anything from Ipas at V Slot Europe? I ordered an OX cnc machine kit from him more than 2 weeks ago and I have not heard anything since. I've tried to contact him via email this forum and via his forum. I've even tried calling but I can't get hold of him and he is not responding. I'm one day away from disputing my order on PayPal as this is not the way to do business. If anybody has any other means of getting in contact with him please let me know. Regards, Andre
Hey guys, Sorry to hear you are having these problems. Please contact the OpenBuilds Part Store Team so that they can look into this for you. They may be able to help with your order to V-Slot Europe. http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home Thank you Mark OpenBuilds Team
Hi Mark, I think this problem has now been resolved in a satisfactory manner. V-Slot Europe probably jumped the gun by advertising a complete product as being in stock whilst they were still awaiting certain parts for it's completion. They do, however, need to make some improvements in their customer service and reply to e-mails when requests for progress / delivery dates / etc. are made (unhappy customers seldom come back). Tweakie.
Thanks for the update @Tweakie glad to hear its taken care of and customers will be able to get back to their builds Mark
I have ordered a CNC OX on March 4. The kit was received on April 10. So they didn't really meet the 2-week shipping promise. However, Michael was responding to my questions and was also notifying me that due to some components in backorder, shipping would be delayed. So as a summary I think V-slot Europe is having some logistic growing pains but is certainly trying its best to deliver a correct service. What I also noticed: Michael responds quick to messages via the website contact form, but not so quick to direct email...
Unfortunately I have a very bad taste in my mouth regarding this. I did not get any responses from him when I queried something on the Website Contact form, nor on his personal email and he also never answered my calls. The only time I got a response was when I logged a dispute via PayPal, this is still on going. I received my Kit with all my precision washers being replaced by normal washers, I was never told about this, my kit is short some items. Also during assembly I noticed that I can't get the ACME screw bearing onto the supplied ACME threaded shaft, and this shaft is exceptionally tight in the thread block. It is so tight in fact that I don't think a NEMA 17 will be able to turn it. I'm also missing the correct fasteners, my fasteners are either too short or way too long. I've noticed that my Z-Axis extrusion is not cut square either. These are but the small things I've picked up since I started to build the kit. Needles to say I have had the kit for two weeks now but I can't carry on building it due to all the problems I've mentioned above. I'm not happy I can tell you that much. Regards, Andre
Hi Andre, sorry to hear that. To make it clear : I am not affiliated with V-slot Europe, I was only responding my (limited) experience as a customer with them. Also in my delivery some parts are missing. For some of them (the 24V PSU), Michael notified me that they will be shipped later, For some others (the 1/4" spacers) I had to find out myself (using the OXCalculator). Due to the 1/4" spacers missing, I am stuck in further assembling the OX :-(
Hi Stroom, I understand that you are not affiliated with V-Slot europe. I just find it very frustrating and upsetting that things like this happen. When I spend that kind of money then I would expect better service but it seems like V-Slot Europe does not share the same views. What I find very strange is that he is out of stock on items which he owes us yet it does not seem like he is making any effort to get them to us as soon as possible. I've since ordered some parts from the Part Store and I've received those. WHY CAN V-SLOT EUROPE NOT DO THE SAME! I'm sorry I've held back not saying anything but enough is enough. I will never order from him again. I
Hello Andre, Let me help you out a bit: "Also during assembly I noticed that I can't get the ACME screw bearing onto the supplied ACME threaded shaft, and this shaft is exceptionally tight in the thread block. It is so tight in fact that I don't think a NEMA 17 will be able to turn it." You have to sand (use 120 grid or so) the Acme Screw for 4cm on each side, sand it down till the bearing(s) slides over it easy enough. Clean with WD40 the screw when you are done. take the Acme and screw it into the Nutblock, move it till it works smooth. As a reference, use videos from OpenBuilds. "I've noticed that my Z-Axis extrusion is not cut square either." I don't know how the cut looks like, but from experience I can tell that when cutting it with a mitter saw you always have machine play. I try to cut everything as square as possible for my customers but sometimes it's just a hair off and there is nothing I can do about it other than buying a better (more industrial) machine. Also, I try to advice customers when they buy parts, that they are missing parts to complete their machines. Again, out of experience I can tell when something is missing plus I can see what machine they are building. Any way, I'm Ronald from OpenBuilds México and things seem to going okay, never had any complain. Any questions about building a machine: ask . -Ronald
Hello Ronald, Thank you very much for the advice I really appreciate it. I am just a bit upset that I was never informed about the missing items or the items which were replaced with the wrong items. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. I'll be sure to contact you for help on any future builds. Regards, Andre
Same problem here. I ordered some parts 16 days ago, the parts were all available (at least in the website). Then, I received an email saying that some parts were out of stock and that the order will be shipped as soon as they became available. No information about when they will be available or the possibility of cancelling the order. Edit: situation solved as it can be see below
Hello Sorry for the extra delay. Items were on stock but not for quantities you need. Your order will be shipped tomorrow morning . Sorry again for the disagreement. Best regards
Hi, I've placed an order on some items the website showed in stock but after I've rceived an email that some of them were actually out of stock. I've tried to contact V-slot Europe but no answer.... So currently I've no idea what is missing in my order and when I'll get my items... Can someone pls help me?!
Hello We don't find trace of your email. Can you please give me your order reference in PM , I will check that this morning. Sorry for disagreement
Hi, I've sent this morning a private msg, but to be sure I'm posting here the order reference: Order Reference PPANHBIPM - placed on 03/10/2016 waiting for your reply thanx Andrea Edit update: just got the pack has been shipped now. Thanks a lot. Really appricieted your quick help.
Hi, I've put an order (Order ID: OCZJCWOCG) on "in stock" items and then got an email that something is missing. Could you pls advise what is missing and when you plan to ship the items? thanx Andrea
Hope so cause I've placed an order but get no feedback at all... Even if I've already paid for the items. Last week there was an alert on their website that they were busy in inventory activities... So I guess (hope) it is only a matter of organizing work and then they are quick in answering and shipping 14-04-2016: I've got an email that my order has been shipped; thanx to all of you for the support!!
@EvanBruner You are talking about OpenBuilds Part Store and not about V-Slot Europe. These two are not the same company, not even close (I think you know but just wanted to make sure ). I'm sorry you had some drawbacks, the OpenBuilds Part Store will make up for that, they always will. -Ronald
Ordered past year OX CNC kit, had great communication, but were many problems with kit like - unfit, damaged, leftover some parts. Different/no assembly instructions, was messy. Meh. Don't want to say anything bad, but I could made better choices.
I echo above remarks on shipping performance of VSlot Europe .... finallly got my OX CNC kit, but found out during assembly that 2 parts were missing. I complained and parts were send, however it's now 2 weeks later and still didn't got it. Will order them now from other source, because I don't want to wait any longer !!
Hello Your missing parts were posted in the beginning of the last week. I don(t understand why you did not received them . I will send them a second time to you but with a tracking number this time. There will be posted tomorrow afternoon. Sorry again for this problem
Hi all, I have had a disappointing experience with V-Slot Europe. I am in France and I prefered to work with a french company, but I was wrong. Order delivery was very long (order placed on Oct 26, 2017 with all products listed as available, and received Nov 13, 2017). V-Slot Europe very rarely reply to messages about orders. No phone number on website, found it on Paypal (so after payment), but no answer when calling. Shipping took 2 full weeks after order, and the shipping tracking number that was sent was wrong. The parcel content was OK, except for an incomplete wheel kit. 9 days later, I did not get any reply and I am still waiting for the missing wheel. Edit : missing wheel received on Nov 25th. Order complete...
Hey guys, I recently ordered (see dates below) a C-Beam XL Kit and paid in advance with bank wire (around 1000€ ! ). Date Status 26/04/2018 On backorder (paid) 26/04/2018 Payment accepted 23/04/2018 Awaiting bank wire payment On the website it says "in stock" but after 12 business days - 08.05.2018 - it's still stuck on backorder. So I started to wonder, rechecked the shop, it still says "in stock" and then I did a bit of research.. After reading this thread I really regret my decision (not doing research first and not using paypal) because now I'm pretty much stranded. The only thing that I can do now is to wait and hope... Plus to hear that there's such a big chance to receive a faulty kit or one with missing parts... JUST GREAT To be continued .......
CrisViral, Had the same experience, "in stock" and it went asap in backorder after payment. It took 20 days to ship. Ordered a xl with electronics...got only 3 steppers . ok after a mail i got asap an extra stepper. I'm from Belgium, France is not that far. Also ordered at Makersuplies.dk and there it seems to go very smooth. (shipped the next day) Grts,
... I finally received the package today (on the 22.05.2018). That makes is pretty much one month. NOT COOL ! Ordering from China takes one month as well (even though I got the steppers and the spindle in around 2 weeks). If I would've known that I would have ordered from China or at least directly from the open builds shop. DO NOT buy from vslot-europe.com This shop is simply put a semi scam. I'll also share this with my 29K subscribers on YouTube. NOT COOL .. 0 / 10 would not buy again [EDIT] Video can be found here:
