hi all, I was looking into self build sliding doors as the kits seem to be excessively priced and cheap looking. I came across the v slot etc. Can anyone tell me whether using the vslot would be suitable for use as a sliding door mechanism. The doors would be 20-25kg. I was figuring on a u shaped bracket that would fit around the v slot bar and through the wheels and be screwed into the door top. Has anyone used this for this purpose and is it substantial enough to cope and provide a good smooth roll? Thanks El-d
I don't think I've seen a siding door project here before. Be interested in hearing about your project if you go with V-Slot.
