World Maker Faire was held in New York City on Oct 1 - 2, 2016. There seemed to be so much for you to look at! Did you get round it all? How was the CNC represented? Many examples? Any real surprises? Gray
There were a LOT of 3D printers but we did not see many CNC machines. A few little diode lasers, a surprise to me was that both lasers we saw were complexly exposed where little fingers could reach as we as no cover on the beam at all. Other then that there were really some many cool things to do and see it was almost too much to get to in one day and in fact we did not get to the inside displays at all. Got to meet a lot of great people and put some faces to the names. Great fun day!
We have a member who just printed that dragon like the one printed by WASP. Dellas used a new Rostock Max that he had just completed to print his. I think he will be pretty jealous of the big blue one in these pics! But for a first print, his turned out great.
