    Nice. it would be easy enough to change the thickness and corner radius of the cutting tool in Solidworks with the formula function. Don't think you'd want to get into # of slats and all that though

    I made all of it using only free/libre software and I didn't manage to do this kind of configuration in librecad.
    I also wanted to make the proportions width/height/height of slats configureable, so it could easily be changed into a bar stool n stuff.
    When changing the other dimensions, being able to change the number of slats is essential imo - else you'd end up with really uncomfortable configurations.

    As a judge of several regional art and design contests - staying within the published design restrictions is VERY important. The first culling is always to cut those that did not meet the published requirements. If the artist/designer doesn't respect the rules just how good/original will their concept really be?

    For what it's worth, I'd be taking a very close look at your design, there are several points that are quite interesting. I'd love to see some pics from different angles.

    Great job @pinoaffe and if your looking for more software features have a look at the Autodesk 123D Make
    software, its free and fun to use. Great for lasers and CNC routers alike.
