I am building a new 3D Printer using Open Builds V Slot actuators (see images). I have designed the printer around a stationary build table. Z axis slide is mounted to the X axis slide. I am experiencing slide bearing slop in the Z axis with slight side loading. Slop is excessive causing a displacement of up to 1.5 degrees to the vertical. One of the eccentric bearings and an idler bearing will not tighten against the rail despite adjusting several times (refer to last two images). I would appreciate some feedback from the community as to what I am doing wrong. Thanks!
Since you are having trouble with slop in your z-axis, have you tried . Using an extrusion instead of a plate hopefully would be better. I have a v-slot build in progress using v-slot z-axis and a fixed bed. A picture is included in ren_album.
