hi.. is it possible to have c beam create a part from one side, reverse said part manually, and then have c beam machine another pattern (like grooves? ) on the other side?
It is ,you will either have to turn it and place it in exact same spot(you can use dowels ,have two or three holes in stock and bed outside the mill area and use dowels as guide so you place it in same place) or you will have to set 0.0.0 on a diferent location of the bed.

Then with a cam action - underneath the center - a hard metal plate (up inside) bites against the silver rod to provide the clamping force. The silver rod is a softer material - and it can get little nicks from the biting action that hinder the sliding a bit if you use them in the same position all the time. If that happens - you can polish rods to buff out the nicks - and/or use the adjustment screws to adjust the clamping plate position.
