My C-Beam Machine plate maker, modified in a handful of ways - some ideas borrowed from other builds on the site (thanks). Cutting area 330 x 412mm with original c-beams + extra bits. Bits to do still include a nice box for electronics, limit switches, cable management, possibly more stiffening of the uprights (big triangles on sides), and a plexi box around the whole thing to catch the mess.
My work in progress Oxcnc. Didnt plan properly and didnt have a suitable bench to put this massive thing on! However a fold out table does the job for now. Love everything about openbuilds and what it has done for me and everyone else i see here.
I got some ~1" thick MDF at home cheapo, it works well for a flattish base to build on. Could put it on your folding table for now and improve your surface a bunch.
thats it the project is complete. on the center platform will be a 3D maze. a camera above in the middle to see the maze. four motors will manipulate a marble to move through the maze. Its for a senior capstone project at school.
