Thank you. The machine now runs with a revised sand valve without problems with 10 meter long texts and drawings. The spray head for the chalk is not yet finished. When this is finished I will publish all the plans and the postprocessor adjustments.
Hello! would it be possible to have more information on how the machine works? I'm developing a drawing machine on wheels too and this would be super helpful! thank you!!
Hi folks, which is actually electronics is actually very simple. The machine runs like all my drawing machines with GRBL on an Arduino Nano which is loaded from a Raspberry 3 or a Raspberry Nano W with the Universal Gcode transmitter. This is then simply controlled via Wlan via VNC. Really tricky is the tuning of the sand flow. I have now made various outlet nozzles for the sand which are exchangeable with M12 thread. In the next few days, I will make and publish photos, detail photos and videos. Still something to my bad english .... unfortunately I am linguistically very untalented and must understand it at all Google Translate Translate. A GUI with a few nice features is conceived only I have unfortunately still no coder for it. But I stick to it At the moment, the control is as on any CNC portal milling machine. Something then vectorize through a CAM with a slightly modified postprocessor and then to the sand drawmachine. X and Y, Z controls the flow of sand. The valve for the sand is a rotary valve made of POM (Delrin) milled from a block (okay with the Protype I am still with the file and the drilling machine) with a POM cylinder which turned and for the actual valve opening still with the hand Has been reworked.
This is so awesome, i love it. Can you share a little about the valve you used? Also would be nice to get the electronics used
Hi, Im from PH. I would like to know more about the controlling of the valve using the z axis? I am also making this project but modified. I'm creating it for the simulator of Soil Liquifaction. Can I ask for the plan for the valve only on how did you do it? Thank you my friend. here is my email address. [email protected]
If the wheels are to roll forward, the motors on the left and right sides have to turn oppositely. How did you control them?
