    Hi all,
I've designed my new printer with the following goals:

    - No printed parts
    - Easy to accurate align/adjust while building (ie: don't rely 100% on cad measuraments!)
    - Speed target around 100mm/s with very good quality (no wobble, rattling and so on)
    - Motion: Acme 8x8 (Z) & GT2 belt (XY)
    - Nema17

Could you please share with me your thoughts about this design? Any flaws? Extruder will be a direct E3D Titan which I already own.

100 mm is pretty fast. how big of a build plate are you thinking?
the 2 towers might not be stiff enough.

Heatbed will be the standard MK3, same size as the openbuilds plate. It will be quite light as I plan to mount it directly on the plate (withe a cork sheet as insulator). Do you think that the weak point are the two leadscrews 8x8 (can change them with ballscrews) or the frame 2080?

    Thank you

the frame is where I an concerned.
the small cast corner brackets is all you have keeping the printer square.
100mm is fast and when you get to the top there will be quite a bit of shaking when the x axis is moving back and forth....

just a note I might be totally wrong too...

I would turn the x-axis extrusion so the long side is vertical. It will be more ridged in the vertical direction.

    Thank you all,
looking around, I found the Voxel project and it's quite similar to mine :) I've taken some ideas from it and will review my design considering your review

I have built and operate the Voxel by M. Peck. I have an all metal hot end and to begin with I had a direct extruder. Now I am running two Bowden style extruders for two color printing. I really like the design and the only thing I might change is the two motor z-axis. Not yet decided, because I am not having problems with the steppers stay in sync. I believe that is because of the gear ratio with the screws and the size of the motors. It would take a lot of force to cause a skip.
