Hi all - I am new to openbuilds and I'd rather not spend the money on parts to realize it wouldn't work so am looking for some help with this. I am trying to attach a Solid V wheel to a 20mm v-slot (shown below). The idea is the wheel would ride on a v-slot extrusion (not pictured below) while attached to another v-slot (which would be a platform). I am trying to conceptualize this with a tee nut, low profile m5 screw, solid wheel, and some type of spacer. It doesn't look like spacers are a good solution to fitting into a v-slot.
Let me first say that I am not an engineer, but from my own experience it appears that when a brace or other item is tightened up against the T-Slot the T-Slot compresses against the brace or bracket. There are videos about how T-slot are designed to compress when the bolts and nuts are tightened against the slot. I am not sure if this is the same with v-slot but it appears that the design concept could be the same. If the V-slot design is the same or similar to the T-slot, adding a spacer designed to fit within the V of the V slot could cause the walls of the V-slot to not compress properly and any item that is attached using screws and T-nuts could loosen up.
