Upgraded 1500x1000 Ox cnc to 1605 Ballscrews on the Y axis. along with the J-tech laser to do most things.

    Hi, my hardware have almost done, same as yours, it's awesome!!!. Thank U very much!
    Now I begin to set software. It can work now, but I don't know the steps is right.
    I have a question about grbl setting in Z axis setp. I use this 8mm Metric Acme Lead Screw as my Z axis, 1/16 microstepping. But in Grbl, how can I set $102 ？I set it 1600.
    In RepRap Calculator - Prusa Printers , I don't know which num is "Leadscrew pitch", 8 or 2? Because I'm in China, and not good at English.
    About X and Y, I set $101 102 = 53.3, is it right? I use 3GT belt and 20 tooth pulley.

    the lead screw will travel 8mm per turn (so the lead is 8mm) 16x200=3200 steps per turn, you will have 3200/8 = 400 steps per mm, so $102=400
    for most people 8th micro stepping is plenty for the screws and that would make the $102=200
    at 200 steps per mm you have 1/200 or 0.005mm per step.

    My setup is 1/8usteps on my control board. Sorry for the late reply was at work. But I attatched some images of my settings in the previous post.

    Ok, then if you are running 1/8 microstep then your settings look correct, if you have 20 tooth GT3 pulley.
