    Progress per today
I don't know if the wheel tension right, but i have try with cordless drill and the plates moving.
But the leadscrew is wobble. Is that because it too long? Will it affect the performance?
    Need advice here

I'm sorry that you haven't gotten a response. An 8mm lead screw simply can't handle a length this long. Alternatives include 10mm, 12mm, 3/8", and 1/2" lead screws.

You might try putting some tension on the lead screw.

If you have the length and it looks like you might, setup the screw collars so they put the screw in tension instead of compression, it does help.
You will need to swap the plates around.

    Hi,
Did it work out well with the 2.2kw water cooled spindle on your Sphinx?
I have ordered the same type of spindle for my Kyo Sphinx, but I’m worried about the weight.

I would not recommend anything above 1.5kW. Honestly, even an 800W will be more than enough for this platform, especially if you go with a larger work area.

The Size of my machine is 600x800 so it’s not super large.
On my old machine I used a Makita router and I have many milling bits with 8mm shank. The ER11 1.5kW has a max collet size of 7mm. That is why I chose the ER20 model. But I can see the weight could be a big problem. Around 5kg on that spindle:(

I've got some ER11 8mm collets sitting on my desk, Aliexpress has them up to 10mm
