I'm a bit confused, now it's ok to enter if the build was started before Jan. 1st but it has to be an unpublished build? What is "unpublished"? I posted my build when I started in Dec., so is that published?
If you follow the link in the message, you will see any Unpublished Builds and these are the ones that would also be eligible since the contest applies to new builds POSTED in January and February. Thanks for your understanding.
Wish I could qualify for entry. Currently saving up for V-Rail’s. This prize would be ideal to help complete the CNC Router I want to build.
As I was thinking of something to build last night, I had a great idea. Since the contest will probably run till the end of March or beginning of April (voting and compiling results), I wonder why you don't include the APEX controller instead of the PlanetCNC controller. Assuming the APEX would be available at that time, this would probably increase the number of contestants and also push people to be more constructive with their build.

Thx Peter fixed it for me. Now I can upload the Stls and mark my build as complete just in time for the contest
Son wanted to build a laser etcher/cutter for his engineering fair so we started designing it in december figured 2 birds 1 stone and we are going to enter it in the contest. Getting all the parts printed up and building a BOM and realized I am short some the screws I need to finish it up. How fast can I get an order of screws if I order today. Might have to get them from amazon it is hard to beat free 2 day shipping but i do love your screws quality.
it is only $1.70 more for UPS how much faster is it. or is shipping more of a personal preference and they all move about the same?
I ended up ordering at least 1 set of every screw length. I am tired of not having the screw length I am looking for to work on a project.
Is there a way to upload more than one file at a time? I have allot of photos and stl files to add to my build and it is going to take a while to get them all uploaded one at a time.
For photos (at least), when you select "Upload a File", just select multiple files in the file browser window that opens. (At least that works on a Mac.)
Hello I have my own built CNC router machine and I used a very common parts anybody can find it locally anywhere he lives I used only aluminum L shaped angles and ball bearings and I type of lead screw used in car garage door openers But I'm from Egypt and I live currently in Saudi Arabia so if I win how can I get my prize? Would it be shipped internationally? And which countries are in this?
My thought is if you have to justify making a build or anything in life with the question "Is it worth it" then the answer is no.
This package is not currently available as a "package" but we'll pass along your interested to the Parts people. You can buy most of these items individually at OpenBuilds Part Store with the exception of the router, collet, bit, and spanner wrench. It's more fun to win it - keep entering!
