With the current contest that is going on, we've had several very cool Builds entered and I am enjoying seeing them all.

There are a couple in particular that I try to "keep up with" as the write-ups progress. (For example, Rob Mahan's https://openbuilds.com/builds/robs-c-beam-machine-xlarge.6456/ and HC Carbo's https://openbuilds.com/builds/horizontal-minimill-x5.6349/ )

It would be nice if there was a "Follow" button (along with the like button) that I could click to get notifications when the Build Proper was modified. (And like the "Like" button, have it with the ability to "Unfollow" when I no longer want to receive notifications.)

I "do" get notifications about discussion posts (if I've commented in the discussion section), but those don't tell me when the actual Build has been added to (and Rob's write-up is particularly well done).

Anyway, I think this would be a great addition to the website.

I understand what you mean about keeping up to date with partcular members on the site, and I like your idea. However, I'm sure you are using the "Follow" button available on the persons Profile page I trust? That will let you know if they post or comment on anything in the Forum. :D Just like I have with yourself, just now. Check it out on your Profile page. Ta Da!

Hey Gray, thanks for that! I didn't know, and no, I haven't been using it. Are you sure it will work if someone just "Edits" a build. That's sort of what I'm looking for. I will give it a try and see what happens. (Also not sure I want to see everything someone posts...not sure anyone would want to see everything I post either - except you... :p)

If you follow too many it can get overwhelming! :D

Well, I did the little experiment. I "Followed" Rob early this morning. He published some major new info on his main Build page about 30 minutes ago, but I did not get any notification. (BTW, if you haven't checked out Rob's build - highly recommended!)

So to the powers-that-be, my suggestion/request still stands. It would be nice to have a way to choose to be notified when someone adds to or modifies a "Build".
