I am finishing up a super sized Sphinx build and need to start setting up the limit switches. What type of wire do I need to run? Does it need to be shielded wire?

The limits are possibly the most sensitive wiring on a build. The last thing you need is to be hours into a job for it to stop for a false limit trigger.

I use 24awg shielded (wrapped strands). You only ground one end.

You can get shielded wire at Home Depot or Lowes a little cheaper if you have one nearby. I paid $0.22 per foot for shielded wire for my limit switches. You only have to buy what you need, too.

Dang it! I have been to Lowe's 4 time today....no lie! Didn't even think to look for anything I could use there. I'll look tomorrow. Thanks for the headsup.

I believe the brand is Southwire.
