what are going to make ?? what is your vision (of the product) that you are making that machine for??
was missing 1 driver, most of the pic's online where for 2 stepper in the opposite direction. this was working for me have 6 drivers now, but was running into another issue...homing
@HC.Carbo Great build man! Can't wait to see this one in action. Its really going to be cool to watch it create some of your art. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects as you learn to use this mad machine kram242
ok, reality check today. cool, everything works well & smooth but, not a good idea to place the a/b table in the length (not practical, you can't see what is going on) So, seems i have to modify a little. The table don't fit in the other direction (need+ 2cm more in the y)
true true What about a 90 degree bracket system that has the ab table mounted to it and that can be mounted to the spoiler board of the machine so you can remove it when you want to use it as a standard 3 axis mill? Just a thought but it may also block the view as well.
much better now & a/b table is also fixed on the sides (1 min. to remove ) z=15cm (still have 8cm left on the gantry)
yeah...it cut's allu....to say it cut a part out of my A/B table reality check 2, Hardware wise everything ok (hence static electricity seems to be an issue) software, mmm setup vertical no go > it cut's only 2 sides (guess the post is for horizontal) but easy to work around. 3 attempts to make a video today, but... my gopro crashed & then my laptop crashed & @ a last attempt my A table seems to turn the wrong side.. multi axis: mmm not sure, seems it doesn't work on spherical shapes... here my test setup, little dog cut out of a champagne cork video next week...hopefully Cheers!
after 4 attempts...you can see +- a dog rough adaptive, **** hard to zero all on the right spot. (y a little off) done in one run
bang my head...just cut out the Austere Bunny, but it went wrong at the last cut. (z gantry touched the a table) grrr Learn every week a little more just have to set the b 45°
It's certainly getting there!! I don't think cork is the best material to work on, it won't give a clean finish, which I think you could get with another material. What about a small block of some kind of plastic? What size cutter were you using? I think you've done a great job so far. I am so impressed with this build. Well Done
3mm mill (Chinese ) , soft mat. good for testing. (2 little flaws in the toolpath) still have to order some descent mills (avoid to do a tool change, often it loose connection when touching the machine)
Awesome video @HC.Carbo its so exciting to see this machine coming to life, keep up the great work The important bit!
Finally some wood, but... things went wrong @ other hand, seems the simultaneous multi axis is working fine now. Wanted to redo the flow (& cut some more stock of) when i started @ the same (new) g-code line it went wrong somehow aim is to cut the OB logo out of it
only multi-axis flow (1 direction) & contour Sadly my center point little off But toolpath is good, so hopefully a nice keychain next week
