Shapeoko 1 upgrades

Replaced the original Z-axis for a shapeoko with a c-beam upgrade. This upgrade required a nema 17 mount and a quiet spindle mount I printed with a 3D printer.

    I've totally thought about making this change! I love the C-Beam! Great Job!
    Do you mind showing more pictures of how you mounted the C-Beam to the gantry?

    Don't forget, I've got a pretty old shapeoko, and the plates are different than the newer shapeoko plates. I used the holes which were 60 mm apart from each other near the top and the opening at the bottom to attach the c-beam. Here are a couple of pics bolt mod.jpg bolt mod2.jpg

    If you have a newer shapeoko, there are two sets of holes that are 20 mm apart that would do to mount the c-beam

    Awesome! Yeah I have the same OLD one (highly modified) upgraded to the same motor mounts though.
    I'll have to keep looking into it and upgrade at sometime.
