This caught the OpenBuilds team off guard. It looks sort of like a 3D Printer but then again, not exactly. So we had to reach out and learn more about it. Before I reveal our findings, what do you think this machine is?
Printed rough shape with cnc fine "polishing" is my guess. If so, the concept is nothing new, but here we're building two machines instead of just using a dual head. EDIT: Oh I just noticed that there was nothing for a printhead at the front. It's a part remover.
I'll guess some sort of lab equipment for mixing chemicals and heating them. However the background looks more like an office of some sort or small assembly area.
The mystery machine is actually a Milling machine, fdm 3D printer, selective needle injector, laser engraver. The dials make thin films of polymers to be photo-cured or injected with other materials. Research equipment in dev thx to #CMUPortugal #CMU #UC #ISR UC
