Although my OX is complete I'm still in a quandary about the power supply. The two that I have are just not cutting it.12v @ 30A and a 24v @ 6.25A. I would have though the amount of amperes was the contributing factor here, but I may be wrong. I'm wondering what other OX owners are using. The power supplies do turn the Nema 17 OK, but the 23s are just turning really slowly. Can someone put me right here please. Thanks.
The Meanwell 24V PSU from the part store is more than enough. Even at a full 3A per motor, that's a 12A max which will never happen. Add smaller auxillaries such as your controller and losses through the drivers and you'll find that the 14.7A rating of the Meanwell is more than enough. Higher voltage is always better. For our hobby stuff, you'll find that only the really small stuff run on 12V. Some people even opt for 36V.
turning slow is not caused from the PSU, probably a setting. which motors and drivers are you using? if using GRBL please copy paste your $$ settings
