Hey guys, what could be possible cause of this noise, its coming from the stepper motor. no mains to it yet as im modifying the bed size. thanks in advance
don't do that, the motor is generating when you spin it and you are hearing that.. if it's connected to the driver then you can damage the driver. OR it could be your wheels too tight, i can't tell in the video... but still don't do that
thanks Gary, newbie here....could you explain a little about that mechanism? does the energy go back from the motor to the driver, a bit like a dynamo? its not my wheels ive got that pretty spot on i think
A motor and a generator are the same, when you spin the motor (manually) you are producing voltage. The voltage is proportional to the speed you move it, and you can exceed the voltage some of the driver components are safe to run at.
