Just watched your electronics setup, great job on the video..
Couple tips;
Micro-steps - don't use the max, you only want to use the most that you need to achieve smooth motion and the resolution you need.
at 1600 you will have 1600 steps (per motor turn) / 8mm (lead) = 200 steps per mm, or 0.005mm of movement per step..
More micro-steps than you need reduces holding torque somewhat, and max stepper rpm (for fast rapid movements) due to Arduino frequency limitations.

Don't forget to set your GRBL settings to match your micro-steps- steps per mm setting, $100, $101, $102

Wires - not sure if you have all the wire yet, but use as much shielded wire for stepper connection, limit switches and hook up the drain of the shields to a earth ground.
The spindle VFD and stepper drivers make EMI noise that can cause com issues.
