Got a new xpro board and hooked up the stepper motors ,power supply ,everything. It had some pretty led lights on it ,but that was all of it. What software am I suppose to use for it .
Hi Gary, Lots of info here XPro Wiki It boils down to a few choices, Universal Gcode Sender (UGS) , GRBL Panel or Estlcam for actually interfacing with the machine. Your Computer will need Arduino drivers on it for the Xpro be be seen by it. Good luck Gary Links... Arduino Drivers UGS GRBL Panel Estlcam
Thank you Gary ,for the info. What one of them is the simplest to use. I am still old school . I was using Win.XP pro,Mach 3,SKP 7. The old driver boards finally stopped working.
Hi Gary, If you can configure Mach 3 things will look familiar. So is skp 7 = sketchup 7? is sketchup what you plan on using? SketchUCam? Then all you would need is UGS, i like the setup and visual preview on it. If you can do DXF drawings then Estlcam is very good, and many youtube videos showing how to use it. Cheers Gary
yes, i want to use sketchup . I use Inkscape to convert pdf to dxf .Then I can take the dxf file and put it in Skp. Long process to do that .
