Any problems with them? I like the look of them, but they seem too cheap, if you know what I mean. Mind you at that price I could buy a couple of spare ones. It's funny. Additionally. With these powerful Drivers available at such low prices, why would you bother with the all in one composite boards? i.e. Drivers and controller in one? Is it because the likes of Arduino, Grbl, and such, can't supply such high amperage, that you don't get Arduino, or similar, stand alone controllers? Or have I just got it completely wrong? Gray
Now there's a coincidence, I have just ordered one of those HY drivers from China (for my B axis) £9.93 inc. postage. I have no idea if they are any good or not but I will know in a week or so. Tweakie.
Hi Gray, The HyCNC driver has arrived, and has been tested. It works well at 48 Volts driving a 5 Amp stepper but, as suspected, it does require fan-assisted cooling to keep the heat-sink temperature down below 60 deg.C. I should point out that there have been some bad reports on the HY-DIV268N-5A but, so far, my experience is all good. Tweakie.
Actually, after a closer look at the site, I have a sneaky feeling it isn't in Devon. It has a Chinese feel about it. No address. No phone number. You know what I mean. Still the promised delivery dates are quite quick, so I don't really know for sure. We'll see. Gray

Items may take longer than usual. Thinking of getting the same drivers but having just had a burnt out board I'm more interested in quality so still investigating. Rob

When you look at what else he sells (harem pants, anime wigs, ...) and the 53 negative feedbacks he has gotten in the last month, I think you have greater things to worry about than whether or not he is in Devon. CNC parts are not his business, merely something he found to sell.
I suppose we should all be aware that like most cheap stuff imported from China there are the genuine items and there are the rip-off or clone items, both may look identical from the outside. From my experience of these imported items you are never sure which you will get until it arrives I also allow for a 20% reject rate (the purchase price is good enough to still be in pocket when making this allowance). It is wise to dismantle and carefully, visually, inspect all electrical items, looking for bad solder joints and the odd unwanted shards of solder etc. before connecting power to the item. Anything that is bad or damaged is just binned – it does not make economic sense to return the item although, if bought via the bay, the seller will (more often than not) send another item if the first is damaged and you make a complaint. As for the HY-DIV268N-5A this has performed so well I have just ordered another 3 units from China. Tweakie.
Just in case it’s of any interest… This is the test rig and stepper motor the HY-DIV268N-5A has been driving at 48 Volts, 5 Amps (stop/start/reverse etc.) for a 48 hour test period. Tweakie.
