Hi everyone, I dont really know where to write this or if i can even get help here, but I am battling to figure out a simple program that i am trying to write and would like to find out if someone can look through it or even help me write the program just so i can get an understanding on how to write it correctly. Where can i go for help? Thanks

Thanks, Just for FYI it is on a Router Machine and I'm using g17 in my program(XY Axis if i am correct)

I am trying to drill multiple holes at different co ordinates, some holes are 5mm( my cutter size) and then moving to another co ordinate and want to cut a 8mm hole using my 5mm cutter. I have tried so many ways of programming and keep getting ID36 error. I did a program similar to the way i do them for my EDM wire cutter. My program looks like so

    G90 G17
    G92 X0.0 Y0.0 Z0.0
    G00 Z2.0
    G00 X10.0
    G01 Z-2.0 F400 (first 5mm hole)
    G01 Z2.0
    G00 X30.0
    G01 Z-2.0
    G01 Y1.5 (compensation for cutter)
    G02 J-1.5 F400 (to make 8mm hole)
    G01 Y0.0
    G01 Z2.0
    G00 X0.0 Y0.0

I don't want this to get lost - can you start a new thread about this topic? Start a new thread (OpenBuilds) and ask away :)

I am building a new lead 1075 and I want to know what type of mill to go for either a Makita/deWalt type or a 1.5kw vfd spindle. whats better and why and also I have a lot of bits which are for a ER11 collet and should i keep to this or go for a bigger one and again why? thisis the sort of information I am looking for please. thanks.

I have the new black box controller, I'll be milling wood, plastics and a little bit of aluminium 80% woods and mainly signs and a little furniture and my extraction system is in another room to the machine so i dont have the issue of the hoover noise....

I think the instructions are lacking in how to build the machine square with minimum binding and properly aligned linear and radial bearings. Minimizing lost motion could also be covered.

This is actually a great idea. This should be made available as a download in the Resources section. :)
