Scotty Orr submitted a new resource: Makita RT0701 Dust Shoe - This is a dust shoe for the Makita RT0700/RT0701C routers. Read more about this resource...
I made a slight (and optional) modification to the upper part of the shoe. The set-screws didn't work that well for me, so I replaced the holes with slots to accommodate a 3-inch stainless steel hose clamp. I added the STL file for the new upper to the thingiverse thing, but if you have already printed the old one, you can simply use a saw to cut slots in the same location as the holes - worked great for me.
@Scotty Orr Two questions for you. Do you sell these, and can I access the collet nut with 2 wrenches?
I don't sell these, and am currently unable to print anything. And yes, you can access the collet nut and shaft with the lower portion removed!
Just a heads up to anybody trying to use this for the Lead 1010...it will need some modifications for clearancing as it hits the Y axis a few inches before it gets to X0. I turned the router so that the vaccum tube is located at the front of the mount instead of off to the left side, however the lower piece that has the skirt attached to it still hits. Everything else with this dust shoe works great! I have yet to figure out the best way to clearance the bottom piece to fit.
