Finally got everything put together and all is good with X and Z but my Y and A seem to have issues going the same direction. I have checked and rechecked all my wires and all connections are correct but still can't get them to both got the same direction and they seem very noisy compared to X and Z. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bryan
The Y motors can't both go in the same direction. One has to, for lack of better term, go forward and the other motor has to go backwards. This should be as simple as wiring one of the motors 'backwards' to the other motor. If you are using connectors then rotate one of the connectors 180 degrees and plug back in.
Whilst bubba is right, remember that only applies to machines with belts. Screw machine both go in the same direction.
You are absolutely right. I made an assumption about how the machine is configured. I should of asked more questions.
Sorry for the confusion I should have stated the machine which is a Sphinx 1050. Still haven't found anything that would cause this and it is intermittent. I disconnected the motor couplings and ran the Y axis and sometimes they would both turn right and other times they would turn opposite.
Are you using the XPRO controller? I'm not familiar with it, but I'm wondering if there is a setting in the config on your controller.
Finally found the culprit last night. It ended up being a loose wire on the motor I was having trouble with. I had checked them by tugging on them all together so the bad wire didn't move but when I checked individually I was able to locate the bad one.
