REALLY tight lead screw nut

    I had the same and it just worked perfectly and it was very smooth ... maybe an unfortunate defective nut?

    Yes it will wear enough to be loose and your motor will be able to drive it

    All is well. I put the acme screw in a drill and ran th nut back and forth for a while. It seems great now.

    Glad to hear you sorted this out @Rick in Tallahassee I know that from the tapping proceed sometimes there is a little debris that get left in the tap thread and these and cause the threads to be tight. So running it back and forth with he drill is a great idea that may have helped to get these out.

    Maybe the OpenBuilds team can do what Rick did, prior to shipping them out ?
    I'm right there, in the build sequence, now. and it does seem very tight. fingers crossed. I'll let you know.

    I also experienced a very tight Anti-Backlash Nut Block. Impossible to turn by hand, but using the drill works
