I print out these kind of charts and have them next to the computer where I do the toolpathing, so I can glance over and have the info needed while working. Really is a big help

It was nice of them to include the Makita as well. I was just getting ready to make the conversions when I noticed it was already there.

    This is great, thanks!
A dumb question, is the feed rate inches/minute? I'm UK based.
    Cheers

That's really helpfull!! I will print it also. (I own a workbee 1510)
You say inches...If I give in artcam 65 feed and 25 plunge, which by the way I use mm, for milling acrylic is going like crazy. If I have to give inches I'm expecting flying like superman. :jawdrop::eek:

Do I read it wrong? Sorry for my english and my noobidity. I'm new in cnc world. :(
And what is the Doc category?

    Thanks!!

@Naiggel DOC = Depth of Cut. Means how much the Z axis will go down per each pass

    Thanks Ariel!!
Can you tell me about the feed and plunge?

For example...for acrylic it says feed=65 and plunge=25 with speed 19000. Is that ok? Cause I'm little "scared" to put these on my machine. (or just noob):D

@Naiggel Be cautios of that information and always test if you are not sure. You can always speed up / down if you are using for example the OpenBuilds Control

If it helps I have put a copy of that table in helpful tools with the conversions to mm/minute done. It's title is "speeds and feeds". Alex.

thanks Alex, I think I understand now some things. I can't put the conversion from inches to mm!!
I dont know why, but ArtCam have two different systems!

When I choose bits with inches, feeds and plunge are in inches/min but when I use metric tools have mm/sec.
    Imagine putting 1651mm/sec!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead::cry::cry::cry:

I don't know if there is something I can do to change that to mm/min!

For now I will continue adding and trying with inches tools and will see!!:) (or devide feeds and plunge mm convertion with 60:thumbsup:)
