I am sure it will turn out great, there are a lot of very helpful guys here who have the builders bug like we do :) and we will jump in when needed. Looking forward to following along with your progress.

Just finishing up some book nooks for a school and the build will begin. Still have an order from the OBstore and the laser driver in route, and have to get to my lathe to cut the puck for the laser mount.

Good day today. I got it all unpacked and organized. Can't wait to get to assembly! Church tonight, maybe get to start afterward. I guess my last OB store order hasn't shipped yet. Really need the stuff.

    Laser diode arrived today.

If you get a vacuum table going, you'd be killing 2 birds with one stone. Either way, I love the idea of multi-purposing a large build table like this. Most stock comes (rather, can be orderd in) 2' x 4' and if you put 3" "borders" around the perimeter of the spoiler board, you could take full advantage of the material you are working on, edge to edge.

That is part of the plan, only some parts of the edges will be removable to clamp the vertical wood pieces while cutting dovetails. My shop has large volume 2-stage dust collection and a vac. pump.

I have toyed with the idea of adding a Donek drag cutter to slice vinyl if/when needed.

The board is from Robert Hummel. The parts are diode, heatsink and fan are listed under the Laser V build. The mount is sized to fit into my router mount. Both have the same center axis point to solve re-zeroing bertween the two devices. I started a now job, and have mandatory overtime, so project is on a short hold.
