I have my machine built and its moving smooth and tight. I understand x and y but I'm a little lost on what to do with z. Where do i Start? I have a zprobe attached but have no idea what to do with it. Also in the openbuilds online gcode generator theres a slot for Z Safe Height .. is that the starting space between the bit and the top of the board? Cut Depth: Final -- i'm assuming is the thickness of the board. Please help a true newb. So anxious to get started.

hopefully this picture will prevent me having to type 1000 words (-: safeheight needs to be high enough to go over any clamps that are holding the workpiece down that might get hit if the tool is lower. if you are using the masking tape method then safe height can be very low (but not 0), this saves time.
