Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had the same issue as mine and could help me.. I just had my 1010 build and wired but guess what ?? now I will have to move abroad. Yes not even a single cut... Any suggestions, tips, ideas how to pack in a safe way? I was not planning to take back to square one as bought (flat pack) , but I need to pack as much as I can to meet airlines rules and as cheap as possible Thanks guys.
When disassembling the machine, don't disassemble the linear actuators except for the motors. Go to an office supply store like Staples and buy some bubble wrap. Wrap up all of the parts just like staff at OpenBuilds Part Store did. Put small parts like screws in zip bags. Put the stuff in a box with extra bubble wrap. Carry the package with you into the airplane. Find out the size of the overhead bins.
Can you not post or ship some of it before you leave? I don't know how that will work out cost wise, but it could help with the weight situation. I don't know where you are moving from, or to, but a slow boat could give you time to settle in before it all turns up.
Thanks Gray, that is one option too, just wanted to make sure nothing wrong would happen to my baby.. . If I could I would carry on my lap. Lol
