I am building a cnc router with dual x and dual y stepper motors these steppers are nema 17 with 84 oz.in torque. Can the BlackBox Motion Control System run these if each axis is wired in series?

    Thanks

Would help if you have the datasheets of the motor?

But as its nema17s I think you'l be fine, just set current accordingly.

Parallel vs Serial: find out the inductance and coil voltage of the motors, from that I can advise whats best.

Thanks, Peter. My application uses the NEMA 17's wired in series. I am building the MPCNC as shown here: Mostly Printed CNC "MPCNC" BURLY C-23.5mm OD by Allted

    Here are the specs:

    Holding Torque(Ncm) 59
    Holding Torque(oz.in)84
    Inductance(mH) 3
    Phase Resistance(ohm)1.4
    Rated Current(A)2
    Step Angle(°)1.8

I am trying to do the same thing as Larry, use MPCNC for plasma cut but use Openbuild´s Blackbox, Nema 17s ...
