Hi, I recently bought a xPRO v4 CNC control card. When I connected everything according to the available instructions, I discovered that the momentary buttons (pause, playback, ...) didn't work. Furthermore, no stepper motor has 23 bipolar 2A connected to the X, Y, Y2 axis, Z does not respond to pulses. I would like to thank all those who can and will help me with the instructions or the answer if it is a malfunction of the cards or an error in the instructions for connecting the cards.
Yes, I checked connections, the power was right, ... All useless. GRBL v1.1f charge card but it stays still after all. Momentary buttons don't react, engines don't turn.
Let me ask again. In your grbl settings, what is $4 set to? Its either 0 or 1. It needs to be set to 1 in order for the motors to move.
Only some Grbl hosts support them, its rare and also a feature that is slated for removal in the future so unlikely to get a lot of support these days Pulses? Or Commands. What software are you using, what commands are you sending, what buttons are you clicking? In the software does it have active alarm states? Use software.openbuilds.com > Control and check Troubleshooting tab
Did you load the drivers for the xPRO v4 CNC control card? When I hooked my control card up for the first time it didn't work either and then I loaded the drivers and it worked like a charm.
Hello, I installed the drivers for my xpro v4 control board according to the manufacturer’s instructions, my computer sees my cnc machine but it still doesn’t work The control software does not offer to connect the machine to a COM 7 instead of a COM 3, as in the Youtube instructions for the WorkBee 1510 machine. Do I really need to see a COM 7 ?
Hi Martin, no need to see a com 7 it will assign to the com port that has the FTDI USB drivers installed. Connect to the driver in that list that is the FTDI like in the pic.
Thank you Mark ! So there is an other problem. There is a red light on the board when the computer is connected but nothing works, not even the leds on the router support. Maybe the red light must be green when it works ? It must be a hardware or connection problem
Are you running limit switches? If so maybe they are triggering and the machine can’t run. Go to the troubleshooting tab and make sure that all the limit switches read off. If any read on they may be set wrong. You can try to disconnect the limit switches from the control board and see if the steppers move
Victor, all my limit switches are now off and the red light i had is now off. But on the Spark Concept map of the control board shows 10 possible green lights .. I see only one (GRBL Reset) and an the other one is flashing (USB-B). Should I see other green lights when it works well ? Peter, I had posted the serial log (is that the send button on the right bottom corner of the OpenBuilds CONTROL window ?) What is it supposed to do ?
I just found the problem and I'm not verry proud of me.It was a little switch on the power supply to set the voltage to 115 V .. but it's so exciting to see it working well for the first time
