Has anyone considered the application of our CNC machines to the Art of Sgraffito.
I guess on wood mainly. I think we could attain the accuracy needed, if we use thicker wood layers. Maybe a light wood and a darker veneer sandwiched between.

    Just a thought.

You can use two-color hdpe or acrylic. It's used for signs. There's a thin layer of one color on top of a contrasting color. I believe we are speaking of the same process.

    Nice one Gray.
I think that's a great application for our CNC machines (must admit to having to resort to Google to find out exactly what Sgraffito was though :D ).

That's a hell of an admission there Tweakie!! :D:D
I though you were going to come back with a chapter and verse about how the Family did when you were a little one.

I'd never heard of it until this morning either!
Read about it in a Wood Magazine.

Yes Andrew I'm sure we are.

How about laminating a Beige sheet, then a Grey sheet and finally a White sheet, of varying thicknesses, and then carving 3D faces into it? Or something similar.

Mmmmm. I see some earning potential there.
