Angle grinder converted into electric drill

    May I ask what the purpose for this is? Angle grinders spin much faster than drills should be run at, and have enough force at that speed to hurt you pretty good. You can buy a drill now a days for just about as much as that chuck.

    As a right angle drill in soft woods, it could be of some potential use, I suppose. Getting proper feeds and speeds in metals with very small drill bits would be more applicable- assuming the drive shaft is of sufficiently low runout not to snap them.

    It's likely running at 10,000rpm, as opposed to the typical drill's maximum speed of around 2300rpm. If it could be made variable speed, it could actually be a handy hack (as long as it's practically feasible to tap a screw thread in a Jacobs taper... Which I'm dubious about, I'd probably want to concentrically dial it in and then thread mill it)

    This is just like those life hacks where its dangerous and why would you do it?
