Would someone explain how to connect and setup Estop button for my machine. I've tried to find something that would help me figure this out with no joy. I'd feel so much better having a way to shut down the machine very quickly!! Thanks, Lee
E-Stops should cut power Wired in (by an electrician) before your power strip. You never know what the nature of the emergency can be so best to cut power to everything at once: Controller, router, dust collector, etc all at once - What if the dust collector catches fire from a static electricity spark - what if the PSU catches fire etc Never trust an E-Stop that simply pauses motion
Thanks for your response Peter. Okay than the project I'm working on should suffice for an Estop then. I'm building a outlet box that will centralize the plugs powering the machine. I also installed a filter to help with emi at the same time. This is what I used to power my other cnc machine which was capable of cutting a full sheet of ply btw and suffered from emi problems until I installed this device and changed all the wiring over to shielded cable. I don't feel like emi is a problem in my shop any longer but the filter seems like a good thing. So thanks for the advice. Any material is replaceable but the tooling is so expensive I hate to break it. Thanks, Lee
