Making the hands video here
I continue my endeavor into learning 3D milling and what better way than making these mini hands.
If you are into the making in general then you might recognize some similar plastic pair that randomly appear on a youtube channel from a guy by the name of Jimmy........ DIRESTA
The process on making this was fairly similar to my last project:
- Get your 3D model
- Load them up on Aspire and generate 3D toolpath for double sided projects
- Place your stock onto your cnc router making sure you have a way to register the position so when you flip it in matches. In this case i just used carpet tape and placed some mdf fences around my stock.
I have included the stl files for the hands which i downloaded from the internet, reduced the triangles count and rotated a little bit so it would sit better while milling.
Hope you like it.
