If you guys and girls seen my last project using live edge, I mentioned I had found two pieces at a good price. One was Walnut (Tree Spirit) and the other, Cherry. Well I came up another fitting candidate for this live edge carving. I bought this model from Etsy, and edited it with Meshmixer to get rid of some unwanted aspects of it. I exported it back out of there and laid it out in V-Carve pro.

- 10 hours
- Bit or Laser Size:
- 1/4" down cut end mill roughing, 1/8" ball nose end mill finishing.

I find using the dome/ dish clipart found free within vcarve works well in carving like this. When there will not be a profile cutout done, it's a good solution. Adjust the heights of each, the dish and the model until you reach a happy depth of cut without blowing through the back, or cutting off any surface detail is the trick.
