North American animal mountain scene inlay for upcoming baby, name & birthdate to be added later. This took a while in terms of hours over the course of three weeks. All female cavity cuts were from within one Vectric file. The mirror inlay male cuts needed to each be separate files in order to account for different pieces of wood sizes, then glued in, then machined flat almost to the surface level of the backing wood before progressing to the next inlay . To do it over again I would combine multiple items to reduce the number of steps and tool changeouts. The epoxy fills required 48 hours of hardening before being able to comfortably machine or sand on them. Definitely required the additional use of a bandsaw and scroll saw. Will be presented to the expectant parents very soon.
