I'm not sure about that either. Maybe the right 17 or an additional slaved one in the mix. Sounds like some math is involved in that decision....
Wow. Great modeling and render. Overall the belt system seems too complex, but what do I know. :)
What grade Al is this Mark? Edit: nvm. 6063 t5. Found it in the parts store! Sorry.
I forgot to note that the force was applied to the beam in its vertical orientation.
.001" or less. I think you can use a surface as it has no thickness. .001" of material shouldn't have much of an effect though.
The way I did it. Fix the ends. Also place a narrow surface on top of the beam in the center. Under forces choose this surface to concentrate your...
I used 6061 t6. The modulus is the same though. Do you have the ends fixed and are you distributing the force over the entire length?
Yes. I moved decimal places one to the left on the deflection values for 22lbs.
For a 500 mm 20x40 length with fixed ends. 10N force. Deflection simulated out to be .0004918mm Load area was in the middle and was .005" wide....
I'm glad you're running through the math. don't have the time today. I'm getting slammed. Ohh Monday :blackeye: Joe
I don't think I meant speed...more the smoothness and control that higher level processing such as a smooth stepper provides. All of which you...
Regarding your initial post... If you Find that it is either a motor or a driver that is causing a difference in motor harmony then you could swap...
If they sound different then either the driver or motor may have something different going on. It may OR may not be a bad thing. I think either...
You got it Rustical.
This post was about questioning the difference in sound between two motors being run from "mach3" by two separate axis controls. I recommended to...
Thanks Mark. That saved me a little time tomorrow. I hadn't realized that data was avail. There ya go Dark. Plug in the numbers and report...
Could be a quality control issue, but it seems they're both happy and not missing steps. Have you tried slaving one to the other through the Mach3...
Hey Casey, Welcome to the site. Yes, you will need a plate set to get started. For those check the 1st post in the main OX build thread by Mark....
Okay. What is this for?
