@sharmstr is working on a tool change post processor - I'm going to have a look at it one day. I would think tool changing is down to the G code -...
I use a fine (10 degree) engraving bit to scribe a 100 mm grid on my spoiler board. Alex.
The Fusion 360 post processor from Ooznest does not handle tool changes, you have to do each toolpath as a separate nc file. There may be...
Yes, the Duet has a "return to workplace zero" (ie G54 x0y0z0) and its the z0 that's a problem if the next tool is longer than the previous one....
You are doing things right - reset Z zero by touching the tool tip onto the top surface of the stock. Alex.
I don't always have a bit of stock left to reset Z zero, so I set my bits before I start. Alex.
The Duet remembers WCS zero so if each toolpath is based on the same stock origin (I think Vectric does that by default) the most likely scenario...
Hi @GeoffH, I just looked up G92 - which led me to G54 etc and now my brain hurts! I think I'll stick to making one thing at a time! Alex

I assume your mains cable to the router is well away from stepper and limit switch wiring? When you switch off your router there will be a large...
Pin high = high voltage (not sure about black box but usually between 3 and 5 volt) Pin low = 0 volt (ground) If your software is expecting a high...
Go ahead - it's what I often do. It won't look quite the same but probably good enough to decide whether you want to go further. Alex.
Apart from at the controller (where you haven't got much choice) your cables seem well separated. Screening might work. Have you done any...
If the "other" stepper is not moving (I realise you may not detect a single step) it sounds as though the power is switching off and back on...
A stepper motor is a powerful electromagnet - a large inductance. When it is switched off the collapsing magnetic field generates an electric...
Hi @Donald Oehlke, have you shared your config.g file with Ryan? There are other possible causes of your problems apart from the software. If you...
