Just a question, how fast can your x and y axis move ???/per second Thansk Steven
I really like your design and am thinking of making one of these. My question is in your assembly doc, I really dont see mention of what screws...
Actually , I bought a new machine with a built in parallel port. I am running win 7 32 bit mode. The entire computer brand new with a 256GB ssd...
Pla
Player should be printed around 210 c. 185c is causing your problem
I am working on this machine with my friend Tim. Currently I have a 400mm x 400mm x 420mm build area. Tim wants to go bigger. His new printer...
I think it would be considered parallel
we are using one motor on x and two on y because of its massive size. the two y motors work off 1 controller.
It was the closest category that I could match to. Do you have a better suggestion ??? Thanks Steven
Wow, the glass with the heatbed look great !!!! Love how it fits on those aluminum. How are the glass hold downs doing ????
Here are two videos [MEDIA] [MEDIA]
I am not sure on that. Tim got a nice lighted switch. He plans on putting in a bunch of LED's. Its going to look very cool.
We will have a video soon. I have not seen too much wobble yet and we are moving at a constant 100mm per sec. That seems fast enough for now....
1) it might be able to be reduced but we don't want bowing. Its around 13 lbs on the Y's becase of 3 motors for the x and y's as well as two...
Well we have some new pics to post. The BAFP 3D printer is now able to move via motors thru the control panel. Next step is the limit switches...
I I think I may have found the issue . I ran the machine on the Y and noticed that there was hardly any noise near the center of the Y area....
So I just went thru every setting on the stepper card. I have the amps at 2 which match the motor exactly. I then changed the decay / static...
Yes the Y does make noise. The slower the speed the more noise. At a feed rate of 1500mm it's much smoother. That is the one thing I can't seem...
